Bugatti “Bottle Cap” Repair

This repair is a personal favorite of mine due to its Rube Goldberg nature and the fact that the repair worked so well.  This Bugatti had a water pump greaser that had lost its plunger, cap and spring.  I was able to fashion a repair using a few wine corks, a beer bottle cap, and some stainless steel safety wire.  The fix got the owner of the car though the remainder of the 1000 mile road tour in which he was participating.  The owner was particularly pleased because he is a CU Boulder alumni, and he appreciated the brand of beer bottle cap that was used.
